Mike Laureanno is old school songwriting at its best: Deft fingerpicking combined
with melodies that pass the “whistle test” about subjects that include religion, politics
and history.
Mike is the winner of the 2014 Stone Soup Coffeehouse, Pawtucket, RI songwriting
contest and a finalist in the 2014 Rose Garden Coffeehouse, Mansfield, MA songwriting
contest. His debut CD "Pushing Back Wintertime" released in November 2013 charted at
#28 on the Folk DJ Radio Playlist.
Mike is also a recording engineer and veteran sideman. He produced and recorded
his own album and played bass guitar for 12 years behind legendary New York City
Fast Folk founder, Jack Hardy.
